Step two · Use-case discovery

Find the AI use cases worth building.

The Hira Data Audit is a structured diagnostic of your data, your decisions and your AI-readiness. We map your data landscape, identify and prioritise the concrete AI and data use cases worth pursuing, and hand you clear recommendations for what to do next.

What it is

A clear-eyed look at your data, before you build anything

Most small businesses run on data scattered across Xero, a CRM, spreadsheets and a few SaaS tools — and the numbers rarely agree. The audit is where we sit with you and your team and work out what your data actually says, what it means, and whether it can carry the decisions you want to make on top of it.

What you walk away with

Five concrete deliverables

Not a slide deck of observations. A working picture of your data you can act on.

A clear picture of your data. Every system, every source, every gap, mapped in one place — probably for the first time.

A semantic layer for your business. Clear definitions of what your numbers actually mean, resolved across your systems, agreed by your team and documented for everyone to use.

A scored, prioritised view of your data quality — including how well your systems actually match each other.

A clear verdict on whether you're AI-ready — and if not, exactly what needs to change first.

A prioritised set of AI and data use cases — the concrete opportunities worth pursuing, with clear recommendations and scoped next steps ready to act on.

Delivered as a written report plus a 90-minute live walkthrough with your leadership team.

How it runs

A structured two-week diagnostic

No long, open-ended engagement. A focused sequence with a fixed shape and a clear end.

  1. Kickoff & interviews

Structured interviews with the people who run your business, to understand the decisions you're trying to make and the questions your data should be answering.

  2. Technical review of your sources

A hands-on, read-only review of your data sources — how they're structured, how well they agree with each other, and where the gaps are.

  3. Building the five outputs

We turn what we've found into the five deliverables — the data map, the semantic layer, the data-quality scorecard and the AI-readiness verdict.

  4. Report & live walkthrough

You receive a written report and a 90-minute live walkthrough with your leadership team, ending with clear, scoped options for what to do next.

Basic ~1–2 weeks · Advanced ~2–3 weeks — around 6–8 hours of your leadership's time (8–12 hours for an Advanced audit).
